Brighton Artists Gallery of Contemporary Art presents works by Daniela
Lombard through the end of November. Franz Bee states, "(Daniela
Lombard's)...vividly-colored images feature perfectly made-up women taken
in the middle of flowers, fruit, leaves and plants. Smiling fairies of the
flora perfectly at home in this blaze of blossoms and heady spring and
summer scents." The artist's photographic works are light-jet prints.
"An Eve toys with a snake while a Mediterranean goddess poses under a
fig tree, her breasts only barely covered, while a charming, red-lipped
mulatto woman appears circled by roses and thorns. Sunny, up-beat, young
photographs in which the strength of the feminine element blends perfectly
with the abundance and fertility of the plant world in a marriage that
excludes males, the city and perhaps even the world outside." - Franz Bee.
