"Elinor Milchan: Lightlands"
2004-09-18 until 2004-10-16
Paul Rodgers/9W Gallery
New York, NY, USA United States of America

In her first solo exhibition, Elinor Milchan presents 'Light Lands', a series of large-scale photographs exploring movement, color, light and time in human experience. The images, in single and multi-panels, are printed onto translucent paper and back-mounted onto Plexiglas. The exhibition presents these photographs floated in real space a few inches from the wall, allowing their shadow to be projected onto the white background of the gallery so that their depth and perspective are enhanced.

Elinor Milchan was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel in1972. She currently resides in New York City. In 2003 she participated in the residency program at Santa Fe Art Institute, New Mexico, US. Milchan has taken part in workshops in France and Mexico. She attended Boston University on Undergraduate studies.

Elinor Milchan has exhibited in New York, Los Angeles, Paris and Mexico.
