"Hospitality: Featuring Works by Adri A.C. de Fluiter"

From the 19th of September until the 10th of October runs the exhibition ‘Hospitality’ at Pulchri Studio. In collaboration with the Hotel-School of the Hague. One of the participants is Adri A.C. de Fluiter, who will exhibit two of his tables from the new series ‘Dishing’. The series includes ‘Dishing 1 be my guest’ and ‘Dishing 2 share my table’.
The tables seems to be unstable places for the ‘flames’ balancing on the surface. The tables itself seems also to move. The hospitality is in this case a matter of course. It can be discussed. The ‘flames’ are for some years the form by which De Fluiter is seeking for new ways of experience. They are symbolic for human life and energy. Sometimes reclining or in rest, but always eager to go forward. The objects are made out of plywood, glue, fabric and rubber. The rubber covers are from used car-tyres.
Pulchri Studio is one of the eldest artists association in the Netherlands established already in the 19th century. The association has from the start this beautiful exhibition-hall with large and small galleries. The website www.pulchri.nl. The website of the artist is www.defluiter.nl.
