"Oval Artists: Selection of New Works"
2004-09-24 until 2004-10-30
Oval Artist Management and Gallery
Little Rock, AK, USA United States of America

Oval Gallery is scheduled to open in Little Rock on September 24. The new, five-thousand square foot exhibition space will position itself as a contemporary fine arts gallery and will exhibit a broad mix of styles from representational to abstract. Carla Koen and Pepper Pepper are the gallery owners and directors. They have many years combined experience in the gallery system, with Pepper coming from an extensive background in high-end galleries in Miami, Florida.

Gary Bolyer is a New York City based landscape artist who will be one of about twenty represented by the gallery. His style reflects his early influences, especially his formative years growing up in a rural area of northwest Louisiana, and his love of the natural world. Detail is minimized and used only for the enhancement of the composition.

The exhibit at Oval Gallery is Bolyer's first in Arkansas. Born, raised and educated in Louisiana, the work of the award-winning painter has been exhibited in galleries in the United States as well as internationally for over 10 years, including a 3-year exhibition in Uzbekistan, Russia. In 1998, Bolyer transplanted himself to New York City. His work is also available through Renee Fotouhi Fine Art and MFI Art Company, both of New York.

Gary Bolyer was educated at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and he holds a B.F.A. from that institution. He has also studied at the Art Students' League of New York.

Gary Bolyer has been a Premiere Portfolio Artist at absolutearts.com since 2000. Viea more of his work at: http://www.absolutearts.com/portfolios/g/gbolyer/.

The public is invited to come view the artwork, meet the artists and tour Oval’s new 5,200 square-foot offices. The space encompasses not only Oval’s spacious East Room and West Room galleries, but includes a high-tech conference room and a comfortable viewing room as well as the shared offices that are part of Oval’s Art Business Incubator.
