"Jessica Dunn: New Paintings"
2004-12-10 until 2005-01-31
Galeria de Arte, Vale do Lobo
Algarve, PT Portugal

The Art Gallery at Vale do Lobo presents New Paintings by Jessica Dunn during the last half of December and the month of January. Dunn is a British painter that has lived in Portugal since 1986. This exhibition consists of a brand new collection of oil paintings. There will be more than 20 paintings, revealing a new direction in terms of subject matter... Sheep have taken over!

From the artist's statement, "After moving up into the hills of Boliqueime some years ago with my husband and two girls, it was time to explore the countryside. Apart from the natural beauty of the Algarve´s country landscapes, changing seasons, the reddening of the leaves on the almond trees and the amber September sunsets, my attention constantly turned to my four-legged neighbours and what began merely as a mild interest, little by little has turned into a bit of an obsession."

Dunn shows in galleries in both Portugal and the UK. Jessica has been a Premiere Portfolio Artist at absolutearts.com since January 2001. View more of her works at: http://www.absolutearts.com/jessicadunn.
