Visual Arts Mississauga (VAM) and the Art Gallery of Mississauga (AGM) are proud to invite all to attend the opening of the Visual Arts Mississauga 27th Annual Juried Show of Fine Arts at the AGM. This exhibition has a long standing reputation for exhibiting a diversity of talent and technique, created by graduating students to established senior members of the visual arts community. It is a great opportunity to view contemporary visual arts practice by a wide range of artists practising in all fine art media including painting, drawing, printmaking and sculpture. The VAM juried art show always provides a stimulating display of creativity and talent flourishing in the city and surrounding areas.
Jurors of this year's exhibition are Sue Ericcson, Linda Kemp and Stephanie Rayner.
Awards have been generously provided by community sponsors, including Bulova Watch Company, Curry's Art Store, Loomis & Toles, Art Gallery of Mississauga and Visual Arts Mississauga. These awards will be given to deserving works in each of the media categories. Ballots for the People's Choice Award will be available through the duration of the exhibition, beginning from Thursday December 16, 2004 to February 5, 2005.
Visual Arts Mississauga, founded in 1977, is a non-profit membership association which serves artists in Mississauga through the provision of educational programmes, exhibitions, sales, meeting and work facilities at Springbankarts Centre.
