"Spring: The Year of the Rooster"

The Rooster~(n.The male of the domestic fowl)  Feng Shui: is considered a symbol of protection and good fortune. Elle Six Art Gallery is pleased to introduce "Spring", the gallery’s first exhibition for the year 2005. This is a chinese brush painting exhibition by various local talents that pays tribute and celebrates the coming of the Year of the Rooster with artworks of roosters and nature. The exhibition features works by Kerk Wan Hoo along with other gallery artists. This exhibition will run from January 18 till February 1, 2005.

This cultural event is a great opportunity to immerse oneself in the painters’ insight to nature and Chinese New Year. Unlike other painting styles, in chinese painting the stroke plays an important role in creating rhythm and beauty while providing emotive expressions to its subjects between the spaces within the strokes.  Essentially, the stroke is what differentiates a good artist.
