"Call for Artists: Arts and the Millennium Campaign"
2005-02-28 until 2005-06-05
Arts For Global Development Network - Art4Development.Net
, , TR Turkey

The ‘Creative Volunteerism for Social Change and Development’ (in short CreativeChange) Project Survey launched on UN-declared International Volunteers Day, aims to help generate awareness on volunteerism / social responsibility and the use of creative sector in social change and development. We also want to learn about the active creative individuals and organizations worldwide, give voice, share their stories, and acknowledge as well as encourage their role in the development field, particularly in achieving the Millennium Development Goals!

Are you an NGO, a corporate entity active in the private and public sector who utilizes arts in social responsibility programs; a poet, a street actor, painter, film maker, dancer, photographer, musician, singer, muralist, designer, museum curator, … working for a cause in the development field?

If you are involved with any type and style of arts to achieve developmental goals, we want to hear from you.

Voice your opinion on arts and social change!

Combined with social sciences, arts has proven to be a valuable medium in achieving developmental goals, particularly in educating and assisting on issues such as human development and rehabilitation, women empowerment and micro-enterprising, conflict resolution, health and sustainable development. There are hundreds of projects that confirm the positive impact of arts’ involvement in building capacities and fostering communities worldwide. If you are one of those people working in your community in arts-infused programs you are invited to join the CreativeChange mini-survey!

Interested individuals and organizations may find survey questions and further information on http://www.art4development.net under CreativeChange icon! The deadline for participation is extended to June 05, 2005!

The Arts For Global Development Network (Art4Development.Net) is an international online voluntary initiative with a purpose of furthering interdisciplinary, multisectoral, and creative approach in social change. We aim to facilitate creative sector and stakeholders of development together empower socially and economically disadvantaged individuals and communities worldwide, particularly children, youth, and women. The initiative works for promoting this awareness, forming a worldwide network by making the best use of ICTs, and furthering any form of art (fine arts, performing, digital,…) in tackling the challenges in the development field and transforming societies into more socially conscious, tolerant, responsible, and creatively active groups of people.
