"surREALITY"
2005-05-18 until 2005-06-20
ARTworkSF - Mezzanine Gallery
San Francisco, CA, USA United States of America

If the realm of subconscious thought is the playground of free association, then to render such thoughts is to reveal new and unexpected realities. By introducing us to new ways of seeing our world and each other, surrealistic depictions of people, places, and objects challenge our presumptions of what things are by questioning why things are. Revealed through the visual articulation of internal dialogue intent on contemplating the harmony between "dissimilar" objects or ideas, as well as by skewing perceptions of form, scale, symmetry and context, traditional conventions of the predictable and the known become expanded to the point of challenging the boundaries of awareness and logic.
