"Gail Harvey: New Works"
2005-06-11 until 2005-06-30
Adam Gallery
London, , UK United Kingdom

Adam Gallery is delighted to be presenting this exhibition of new works by Gail Harvey. The artist lives and works in the Shetland Isles where nature’s elements are at their most extreme, and her coastal landscape paintings capture the raw energy of the sea. The vibrancy of the colours and broad brushstrokes, even in the smallest works, convey the power and atmosphere of the constantly changing weather conditions. These pictures possess an immediacy and spirit of someone at one with the landscape.

Gail Harvey was born in 1954 in Glasgow. She attended theGlasgow School of Art where she received both a Diploma of Art and a Diploma of Postgraduate Studies. Since 1979, Harvey has beena member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours, the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and the Royal Scottish Academy. Gail Harvey's work has been exhibited in Europe and the US and is held in colelctions throughout the UK.
