The highly acclaimed artist John Lawrence is
en-route to the Killarney Art Gallery for a special exhibition highlighting several of his colourful paintings. The exhibition titled "A Glorious Field of Poppies" features wroks
by John Lawrence. His eye-catching pieces have been capting people’s attention for years, and when one steps into the Killarney Art Gallery one can immediately recognise the vibrant style that is so unmistakably ”John Lawrence”.
John is a painter of light and colour, who likes to work in front of his subject. His landscapes have captured both the stunning beauty of Ireland’s countryside and the admiration of collectors and art lovers around the world.
His recent paintings of Venice, Tuscany and Provence have been highly appreciated here and abroad. When people look upon his paintings, they can see before them the vibrant colours and swings of light he visualised before him. John’s paintings are in private collections in Ireland, Great Britain, and USA, and recently had a very successful exhibition in London.
The Killarney Art Gallery will be showing a representative sample of the work of John Lawrence over the last 3 years , this exhibition will highlight John’s presence at the Gallery. The exhibition will open officially on Friday the 1st July at 8pm. You can find the Gallery at 13 Main St, Killarney, Co. Kerry, Ireland.
