APPLY FOR THE NEXT INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP WHICH WILL BE HELD AT AMAC IN CAPE TOWN, RUNNING IN DECEMBER 2005 CULMINATING IN AN OPEN DAY/ EXHIBITION OF WORK-IN-PROGRESS ON THE FINAL DAY. Thupelo Cape Town - AMAC
Workshop Dates: 02 to 17 December 2005
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: 30 September 2005
"The concentration of so much energy and commitment into a short period of time encourages risk taking and experimentation that might not happen in the artist's own studio. At the same time the process of exchange that lies at the heart of the [Thupelo] Workshops based on the Triangle model often has a long-term influence on the practice and sometimes the lives of the participants. The strong emphasis on process rather than product engendered by the workshops means that the work made and exhibited at the workshop open days is often not finished work" - Robert Loder
We invite you to apply for this workshop which will take place as an urban workshop in December 2005 at AMAC in Cape Town. We will hold an open day at the end of the workshop on the 16th of December.
Travel costs to and from Cape Town and specialist art materials need to be covered by the artists, while Thupelo will cover all other expenses. Anyone who is in a position to try to obtain funding for their participation as well as travel to and from Cape Town, please state this clearly on your application
