"Tiziano: The Rules of Existence"
2005-07-31 until 2005-08-15
Irregular Art Beat
London, , UK United Kingdom

Irregular Art Beat's next exhibtion "The Rules of Existence" features by Tiziano. “Once upon a time, painters use to challenge Nature, striving to surpass the visible by painting what was non visible, i.e. the ideal vision: either the neoplatonic one of the Italian schools, or the physical one of the central European regions. In both cases, it was the turning point represented by the (re)discovery of prospective and proportion that lead to the main theme of modern art history: the struggle of eye and mind, i.e. the clash of visual perception and mental representation. "

"Roughly simplifying: depending on our origins, on our mentality and culture, on the context we are used to live in, we always see what we know. The more we know, the more we see. And the more we see, of course, the more we know.  Nonetheless, even if we probably look at more than we know, we surely know much more than we can see. Contemporary art, in fact ? Roughly simplifying, once again, deals with the visual representation of what we are able to know, but not to see. Visualising the non visible, as once upon a time?

Yes, but from a completely different point of view ... since the microscopic and the macroscopic view entered the visual arts in the 20th century, the biological concept of evolution did the same, and so did its graphical representation medium, fractal geometry. Scientific tools turned thus into aesthetic vectors, the magnifying lenses unveiling the deeply hidden rules of existence. The contemporary artist, operating at the limits of such rules, tries to investigate their borderline contradictions. Basing upon such premises, his creations bear new genetic codes. Art evolves to a new eye for a new knowledge. It is the new challenge to nature.”

Irregular Art Beat promotes up-and-coming talent before it hits the echelons of the established galleries with private views throughout the year. The shows combine fun exclusive champagne parties with the opportunity to discover new talent.
