"Lou Posner: Inaugural Exhibition"

Four paintings by Lou Posner will be exhibited at the opening of a new cultural space, "Le Petit Marais," in the Barra, Rio de Janeiro, beginning Aug. 14, 2005. The paintings are "Boys Fishing," "Oyster Shells on Silver Salver," "Flowers in Exotic Vase," and "Jantar dos Deuses (Dinner of the Gods)." This exhibition is the inaugural exhibition at a new cultural space, dubbed "Le Petit Marrais," in Rio de Janeiro. Posner lives in Tell City, Indiana in the USA.
The founder of Le Petit Marrais says, "This new cultural space is named after the famous Marrais district in Paris where some of today's most important cultural events take place and which is a meeting-place for famous painters, writers, musicians and art lovers. It is hoped that Le Petit Marrais in Rio de Janeiro will evolve into a place similar to the Marrais in Paris: a nexus for working artists where they can have a free exchange of ideas in an experimental atmosphere with the aim of adding to and enriching our culture."
