Artescape Studios announces their Open Calls for Artists for and upcoming exhibition - SALSA: A Tribute to Hispanic Heritage.
Application Deadline: 7pm, September 3, 2005.
Notification (e-mail) by 9pm, September 5, 2005.
Art to be delivered to Artescape: September 27, 2005.
Show runs from October 1-November 12, 2005.
Artists' Reception on October 15, 2005, 6-8 pm.

Entry fee: $25 for non-members and $15 for an Artescape friend or member.

GETTING YOUR ART JURIED FOR EXHIBITION
All work is juried. All correspondence is in e-mail. Please pay
attention to deadlines. If you're out of state (or the country), you
can still enter--but you bear the cost & liability for shipping your
work to and from the studio. We also charge a $25
standing-in-line-at-the-post-office fee. Please note: we jury based on
our personal response to your work and how it fits with the curatorial
theme.
Please send the following on or before the posted deadline:
1. The entry fee
2. Up to 3 jpegs or photographs of work you want to exhibit that
coincides with our theme
3. An artists' statement/bio/resume.
We jury based on our personal response to the work sent. We are
looking for work that best represents our curatorial celebration. Part
of our job on the planet is to inspire you to create! Creating new work
for the show is encouraged.
Note: Your entry fee does not guarantee your art will be accepted for
the show. It ONLY gurarantees that your work will be among those juried
for a particular exhibition. We will notify you by e-mail upon your
acceptance.
