Cecil Herring's art exhibition: "Rediscovering Florida"
opens Sept. 2 at DeBary Hall in DeBary, Florida.
The show features Herrings latest works of landscapes and florals, scenes of Florida. Herring’s selections are brilliantly colored watercolors and digital media. DeBary Hall was the winter retreat of a European-born wine merchant, Frederick deBary,
who chose the St. Johns River country for his hunting estate.
From Herring's Artist statement-
" 'Find your bliss,' the great Philosopher- Anthropologist Joseph Campbell advised. Campbell was right. I found my 'bliss' in 1956, 49 years ago. I have loved every minute I have spent creating art works and to this day I still love my time spent painting and sculpting. Time stops and I don't age!"
