"25th Annual Gala Fundraiser in Paramount Studios"
2005-09-05 until 2005-09-10
PETA
Hollywood, CA, USA United States of America

Premier Portfolio Member and New York artist Debra Ann Reilly is among the artists chosen for PETA's silent art auction to be held on September 10, 2005, during PETA's 25th Annual Gala Fundraiser in Paramount Studios, Hollywood, CA. The 2 mixed-media artworks Debra chose to donate to PETA are "Rainbow Colt" and "Teddy Duck."

Both artworks are luminated with striking pastel color combinations blended into more intense color hues as Debra creates a harmonious mood in both works. Rainbow Colt represents a mother and baby horse with a vivid abstract style, yet, it tenderly illustrates the loving feeling between the two horses with an ethereal dreamlike quality. In Teddy Duck Debra spaces a few abstract elements into the entire scene more lightly which also brings the viewer to a lovely ethereal outdoor scene with a woman, her son and a baby duck amidst tall pine trees. Founded in 1980, PETA is synonymous with "animal rights" / for further information (on the 25th Gala & tickets while still available) go to www.peta25.org
