The Artist Resources Center at the Gold Dragon Gallery in Tampa, Florida, will present a one person show of new original abstract works by Martha Marshall, with an opening reception in the gallery on September 9. Marshall’s mystic and ethereal canvases have delighted collectors throughout the United States and abroad. The artist will also be offering acrylic painting classes at the Center starting in September.
Martha comments in her artist statement, "The process of image making continues throughout my days, whether I am awake or sleeping. I believe that we become whole through creative play, whether it be with dancing, or wet clay, or poetry, or drumming, or with colors, textures, and shapes. It is my hope that I can connect on a deeper level with the viewer, and share some of the joy and energy of that moment of creation."
Opening it's doors in July of 1996, with only a custom framing shop, Gold Dragon Gallery has grown into one of Tampa 's most well know art venues. Dedicated to providing Tampa Bay artists with a gallery to display and sell in their community. This unique gallery offers beautiful original works in a number of medias. Works in oil, watercolor and acrylic adorn the walls and displays of blown glass, clay sculpture, raku pottery, and pieces from the bay areas finest artist fill the gallery showroom.
