Indepth Arts News: "Micha Nussinov: Recent Work" 2005-10-21 until 2005-11-09 Sala Barna Barcelona, , ES Spain
Ideally these artworks should be view from both sides, as each is designed to be suspended in between clear acrylic sheets.
In this exhibition Micha demonstrate personally, through a digital recording, a closer look at the surface of works, from all sides. As layers of painted sceneries, transparent and opaque, being revealed, as other disappear, so that the viewer can gain greater interactivity.
It first started with the use of tissues (the type we sniff into) to absorb excess paint. These fragile pieces were bounded with 'Wrapping tissues' (the type jewelers wrap precious stones with).The latter became the the main material that form the structure.

Micha Nussinov shows his most recent work at
Sala Barna in Barcelona, Spain from the 21st of October to the 9th of November, 2005. In his delicate works on tissue papers, Sydney based artist Micha Nussinov is exploring density of colors, transparency, and opacity of matter. Having been painted with pigments of water base color and bonded on a single or multi layered tissue sheets 70x50cm. It is an expressionistic as it reflects on the instinctive impulses of the artist. Depicting interior and exterior landscapes, where the emphasis is on moods, obstructed forms and shades of lights.
