"Daniele Lemieux: Recent Paintings"
2005-11-03 until 2005-12-04

Daničle Lemieux of Montreal West, who just completed a highly successful solo
exhibition of over 25 works at Wallack Galleries in downtown Ottawa, will turn around
and mount another solo exhibition of more than 20 recent paintings at Arts Sutton in
Sutton, Quebec. The exhibition at Arts Sutton, 7 rue Academy, will run from November 3
to December 4 and the vernissage will take place November 5 from 2 to 5 pm.
Lemieux's Sutton show is a collection of recent works in oil in which she offers her view of the
poetry found in familiar, everyday objects.
In a style reminiscent of the painterly approach of the Dutch Masters, Lemieux produces
contemporary art that’s uncomplicated, warm and approachable. Her fresh approach to
contemporary realism has been recognized internationally in two books recently
published by International Artists Magazine. She was selected to show a work at the
Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Sales and Rental Gallery for 2005 and she also got the
nod this past spring from the jury of the prestigious Les Femmeuses show in Montreal.
Two of her works are featured in a 2006 calendar produced by the Montreal Symphony
Orchestra.
Daničle Lemieux has been a Premiere Portfolio member at absoltuearts.com since 2003. View more of her work at http://www.absolutearts.com/portfolios/l/lemieux/.
