Indepth Arts News: "Ancient Palaces: Works by 22 International Artists" 2005-11-12 until 2005-11-27 Visconti Tower, Camaver Kunsthaus Lecco, , IT Italy
Among the aritsts selected is Luise Andersen. Andersen, who lives in Fontana, California, will exhibither work "Within Self". The artists write about the work, "Conflict within self... induced by haunting presence..and past..images appearing..pushing forwards...intense urge to not miss any...Eyes forever watching.. The viewer knows...what is in my core.. lived...and still experiencing... and often might recognize self... connect ..wanting- or not..to my core..."
From Luise Andersen's artist statement: "I crave.. painting...drawing... sculpting... writing... Like re-inventing my life... my purpose... myself..
.Gives me a direction.. the courage to look at myself ..and find 'ME' there... At least for the duration of creating..
....and once I collect these shards of my core within colors, shapes... form...word.. I
'see' myself ,, and You."

Within their program "Ancient Palaces", Camaver Kunsthaus presents the 2005 edition of the November Great Exhibition at the Viscounti Tower in Lecco. Under the sponsorship of municipal authorities the building opens its halls decked with artwork for the month of November. A wide showing of international artists inspired by the color of the lake and surrounding mountains will be presented. 22 artists were selected for this exhibition which is on view until November 27.
