"Small Works of Art Exhibit Features Joyce Waddell Bailey"
2005-12-08 until 2006-12-05
Grand Bohemian Gallery
Orlando, FL, USA United States of America

Three works by Joyce Waddell Bailey are currently showing in the Small Works Exhibit, at the Grand Bohemian Gallery, in Orlando, FL. The show was organized by Marilyn Mani, Gallery Director and Brooke Raymond, Corporate Director of Art for the Kessler Collection. The Grand Opening for the exhibit was on December 8 and it will run through January 5, 2006.

Baileys oil paintings--Woodwinds, 30 X 30;  Mars Launch, 24 X 24; and Tea Time, 24 X 24 gave the artist, who usually works on a larger scale [4 X 5 and 8 X 5], an opportunity to experiment with new techniques in oil as well as address different formal problems. For example, Woodwinds   is a study of the debris left behind by the recent, devastating hurricanes--Charlie, Katrina, Wilma. She used a dramatic, diagonal composition to keep the eye moving across the painting and enlivened the earth tones of the subjects with splashes of white light and deep, umber shadows.

Joyce Waddell Bailey has been a Premiere Portfolio Artist since 2004. View more of her work at: http://www.absolutearts.com/jbaileystudio/
