Il Ramo d'Oro opens the new year with a solo exhibition of work by Vincenzo Montella from January 14 through January 29, 2006
" 'Fly, fly' is a praise to fantasy, but it is also the solicitation by Vincenzo Montella to think again of Naples‚ places with a little of irony rediscovering the traces written in the daily territories in order to find again poetic worlds to follow with the fantasy and to face ourselves." - Paola Germana Martusciello.
Vincenzo Montella was born in Benevento, Italy the 1n 1952 and lives in Naples where he works as psychiatrist. He graduated in Medicine and Philosophy and specialist in psychiatry and family psychotherapy. Montella is an artist, poet and photographer.
He studied photography at the Toscana Photographic Workshops attending courses by William Allard, Michael Yamashita, Machiel Botman, Alex Webb, Jeff Jacobson, Arkady Llove, Sarah Moon, Carol Dragon.
