"Call for Artists: FOR WOMEN ONLY - Photographing Our Favorite New Mexico"
2006-06-18 until 2006-06-24
New Mexico Photography Field School
Santa Fe, NM, USA United States of America

The New Mexico Photography Field School is pleased to announce a new workshop for 2006, FOR WOMEN ONLY: Photographing Our Favorite New Mexico, June 18 – 24. In this woman-only workshop you will explore and photograph the special places highlighting the diverse culture and landscape of New Mexico, while on a journey into the creative process. With instructor Myra Bullington, you will take your personal and creative vision to a new place, while you enhance and explore new approaches to your photography.

This Field School is celebrating 20 years of exceptional photography workshops and is unique in its offerings: hands-on photography workshops in the Southwest’s canyons, hills and villages. Participants are out to capture the light, color, and texture that is the West. Workshops are for the novice to the experienced photographer, for anyone who wants to master photographic technique while exploring the enchanted land that is New Mexico. Workshops are also planned at their new facility in Santa Fe , including new digital photography workshops.

Field School Director and Instructor Craig Varjabedian has been teaching photography for twenty-five years. His photographs are known for their interpretations of light and place in the Southwest. His works are widely exhibited and collected. Joining the Field School for 2006 is William Plunkett, landscape and nature photographer and Myra Bullington and Warren Mell. The Field School is sponsored by Bogen Imaging, Lowepro, Photoflex, MAM-A, Phase One, Smark Disk, and Nik Multimedia. Canon USA has made available EOS 10D cameras for students to try out. A catalogue with workshop descriptions, instructors’ bios, and Private Field and Darkroom workshop information is available upon request. Complete information is available at www.photofieldschool.com. For further information, contact Associate Director, Cindy Lane at info@photofieldschool.com or (505) 983-2934.
