Hooshang's background includes a bachelor of fine arts in painting,
plus 12 years as a graphic designer and an award-winning illustrator. He
has worked as a self-employed artist in America and Spain since 1984. His
paintings are displayed in private collections in England, in Spain, in
Belgium and across the United States as well as in corporate collections
of Holiday Inn and Regions Bank. Hooshang has been featured in exhibits
and represented by galleries throughout the USA.

The Church Street Gallery of Rockport, whose building celebrates it's 100th anniversary
this year, presents Hooshang Khorasani's paintings in the exhibition
entitled Full Speed Ahead. Hooshang's work reflects a bold contemporary
style, with hues that alternate between muted and highly energized. This
collection of work focuses mainly on his newer abstract paintings, and is
complimented with Hooshang's expressive and action filled equine pieces.
He paints on canvas, board and paper using acrylic, oil, pastel, charcoal
and pencil. His work ranges from brushwork to washes to work with a
palette knife. the exhibition continues through May 2006.
