FUNERIA's 3rd international Ashes to Art® juried & invitational exhibition of original funerary urns, vessels, reliquaries and personal memorial objects seeks entries in all sculptural media: clay, metal, glass, fiber & wood, biodegradable, stone, mixed media and innovative materials for its first East Coast presentation. Venue: The ICE BOX at Crane Arts, 1400 N. American St., Philadelphia, PA. Deadline: Aug. 19, 2006. Exhibition: Oct. 15-Nov. 3, 2006. Previews: Oct. 15-18. Artists Reception: Oct. 21. Closing Event: Nov. 3. Open to artists over 18, worldwide.

Jurors will select fine art and fine craft sculptural work that is created to keep, contain, transport or disperse funerary ashes (cremated remains) of people or animals. Cash awards: $2,500 Best of Show, $1,000 People’s Choice, Purchase Award and more. Digital images or slides. Scan fee for slides. Entry fee: $25 for 1-3 images + $5 per extra.
