"A Slice of Life: Mai Anh"
2006-07-04 until 2006-07-20
Karin Weber Gallery
SoHo, , HK Hong Kong

Karin Weber Gallery has great pleasure to present the latest work from Hanoi based artist, Mai Anh in a solo exhibition entitled "A Slice of Life" from July 4th through July 20, 2006. Quietly emotional and determined in her impressionist / expressionist style, Mai Anh leads viewers of her art through memories and experiences of the rituals and concerns of daily life.

Mai Anh was born in 1961 in Thanh Hoa province and graduated from the Fine Arts College in Vietnam. She has exhibited extensively both locally and internationally.

"There is a certain dream-like quality to much of the work by contemporary Vietnamese artist Mai Anh. But it is the world in which silence dominates. Occasionally it is pleasantly meditative, but often it is filled with a deep melancholy and the anxiety of waiting." Ian Findlay-Brown.
