Indepth Arts News: "Call for Artists: Travel for your Art" 2006-07-12 until 2006-08-07 Art Workers Fortitude Valley, QL, AU Australia
Artworkers, the peak body for the visual arts, design and craft industries in Queensland, is now inviting applications for the 2006 Siganto Travel Scholarship. The biennial bursary offers emerging visual arts, craft and design practitioners the opportunity to expand their professional development through travel. Funds up to the value of $7000 are available for travel that will support an individual's career development.
Examples of projects funded by the Scholarship include (but are not limited to) attendance at international and interstate conferences, residencies and masterclasses, and international research projects used to access resources unavailable in Australia. Rub shoulders with the art glitterati at the Venice Biennale, undertake a photography residency in Los Angeles, or learn about contemporary indigenous painting in central Australia.
