"Chelsea Global Showcase 2006 Competition"
2006-08-04 until 2006-08-25
Amsterdam Whitney Gallery
New York, NY, USA United States of America

Joyce Waddell Bailey's Avant Garden was selected as a winner in the Chelsea Global Showcase 2006 Competition sponsored by the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery, NYC (511 West 25th Street, Chelsea, NYC, 212-255-9050). This prestigious, juried show is intended to introduce collectors and art professionals "... to the most promising, dynamic and innovative talent in the international art world." The Showcase is organized by the distinguished Curator and Owner, Ruthie Tucker, who, with co-owner husband, Ambassador Dr. Alton Louis Amsterdam III, is a powerful advocate for the artist.

Bailey's ground-breaking work pushes viewers from the familiar to the unknown--entering beautiful passages in the life of forms that aspire to a higher level of aesthetic pleasure.

The Showcase starts on August 4 and continues through the 25th. A formal "Gala Champagne Reception" will officially open the exhibit on Wednesday, August 9.

Joyce Waddell Bailey has been a Premiere Portfolio Aritst at absolutearts.com since 2002. View more of her work at http://www.absolutearts.com/jbaileystudio/
