Requiem para un trotamundos - 86 anos de viaje (Requiem for a globetrotter - an 86 years journey), an exhibition by Mexican artist Laura Castanedo, was inaugurated September 9th in the Antichi Forni Gallery in Macerata, Italy as the last of six individual exhibitions of the Ars Latina 2006 Project (www.arslatina.org), one of the most important proposals of International Cultural Association Terra dell Arte (www.terradellarte.org).

This work, which initiated as a tribute manifestation to one of the artistís near loved ones, concludes with a unique and personal questioning for those personal objects of those who go away. Laura Castanedo declared: "In my artistic work Requiem para un trotamundos, homage to my grandfather, I unload the object of the anecdotal presence to provide it with a re-signification towards an emblematic essence".

Requiem para un trotamundos had its worldwide opening in Havana, Cuba last October 2005 in the National Academy of Fine Arts 'San Alejandro' Gallery.
