Doman states about her work: "There is something to be said about distraction and making art. This applies to all genres of art, songwriters, poets and of course fine art. Staying focused regardless of what is whirling around on the outside can be trying. I have just started painting again after 4 long years of metamorphosis and couldn't be happier than this very moment in time. It seems energy draws energy and feeds on itself as with any other emotion.
"I just made a trip to the Owensboro Museum of Fine Arts in Kentuck
my to drop off a piece (Angelena and Ida) to be considered in their permanent collection, it looks promising. The importance of this museum is that most of my work is based on my maternal side of the family who have roots there. I was born in Chicago and lived there until just recently and love the rural life very much, the time is ripe."

The Outsider Art Fair, produced by Sanford L. Smith and Associates and hailed as “one of New York’s hippest and best contemporary art fairs,” will take place January 26-28, 2007. The Outsider Art Fair is the only fine art fair devoted exclusively to outsider, art brut, primitive, visionary and intuitive art, and features 33 of the finest international dealers. Represented by the Dean Jensen Gallery from Milwaukee, Eileen Doman will be showing work at the Fair this year.
