Tilt Gallery and Project Space is currently seeking submissions for the
juried exhibition Soft. Artists are invited to submit up to three images
for consideration. The gallery is interested in showcasing new work that
addresses the intellectual or perceptual interpretation of "soft". Two-
and three-dimensional work in all media is eligible for consideration.
The exhibit will run from July 5-28, 2007 with an opening reception for
the artists Thursday July 5. Tilt Gallery and Project Space will provide
all PR and marketing services. Deadline is April 15, 2007.
Juror
Kristan Kennedy is the Visual Art Program Director for PICA. She is a
graduate of the New York State College of Art and Design at Alfred
University, and is an exhibiting artist represented by the Elizabeth Leach
Gallery in Portland, Oregon. Kennedy’s work was included in the 2006 and
1999 Biennials at the Portland Art Museum.
Entry Fee and Procedures
- Up to three images will be considered for the exhibition. Images may be
in slide format (plastic or cardboard mounts only), or digital files.
(DIGITAL PREFERRED)
- Slides must be in protective slide sheet labeled with artist’s name and
numbered 1-3 with an arrow indicating top.
- Digital files must be in jpeg 300 dpi format on a CD labels with
artist’s name and email address.
- Entry fee is $15 by check payable to Tilt Gallery and Project Space.
- Slide sheet with artist name, title of work, medium, date, dimensions,
and sale price.
- Artist resume with contact info.
- Artist statement/bio (optional)
- Only submissions with a SASE for images will be returned to artist.

Shipping and Insurance
Each accepted work must be shipped at the artist’s expense in a
well-packed reusable carton or crate. Return shipping must be included in
the package. Work must be shipped ready for installation. All 2D work
must have proper hanging devices included. If work is framed Plexiglas
must be used instead of glass. Artists are responsible for insuring their
own work. Tilt Gallery and Project Space will not be responsible for loss
or damage to work. Local artists are encouraged to hand deliver and pick
up work.
Sales and Copyright
The gallery will retain a 30% commission on all works sold. Your entry
grants permission for the use of images on all promotional materials.
