Sin Sin Fine Art is proud to present Putu Sutawijaya’s first solo exhibition at Sin Sin Fine Art – entitled “Full Moon”. The exhibiiton features eighteen exciting new works by the indonesian artists. “The human body is the medium of suffering, pain, laughter and fear," comments Putu Sutawijaya. The gallery opened in 2003. It features diverse South East Asian as well as French, Japanese, and American artists. In their work they take modern approaches but at the same time they are also inspired by their individual traditional backgrounds. They share Sin Sin’s philosophy that art is part of a lifestyle filled with beauty. Sin Sin Fine Art is the only place in Hong Kong representing contemporary Indonesian artists.
Putu Sutawijaya expresses this collection of works with androgynous people, portrayed in naked forms as
he views “clothing conceals human expression and emotion”.
His works reveals his desires, through movement of human figures in rhythmic motion, a right to a peaceful life.
