"Malleable: A Group Exhibition Curated by Grace Kotze"
2007-07-08 until 2007-07-28
artSPACE durban
Durban, , ZA South Africa

Malleable is an exhibition showcasing the diverse intentions of artists whose creative fruition is made possible by the seductive and versatile medium of paint. Its physical structure has the potential to describe concept and emotion of immense diversity and depth. Collectively the invited artists' varied approaches to paint help describe such qualities. Choice of technique, colour, tone and subject are seldom accidental. Whether it is conscious or subconscious, numerous decisions are made during the creation of a work. The resulting uniqueness of each artist's work is what the show is about, how paint enabled such manifestations of individual concerns to exist.

The show will boast the talents of painters such as Pascale Chandler, Zama Dunywa, Jenny Parsons, Nathi Gumede, Grace Kotze, Danielle Malherbe, Anet Norval, Janet Solomon, Bronwen Vaughan-Evans, Virginia MacKenny and Marlene Wasserman.

Opening Monday, 9 July at 6:30pm Opening by Andrew Verster Closing Saturday, 28 July at 1pm
