Indepth Arts News: "Call for Artists: Calin Dan - City Tags Workshop" 2007-08-22 until 2007-08-31 Experimental Art Foundation Adelaide, SA, AU
Amsterdam-based Romanian art critic, curator and video artist Calin Dan will be in Adelaide at the Experimental Art Foundation, Adelaide, 22 August-1 September. His exhibition Memory Tags (A Lounge) will be open from 31 August - October - stay tuned for more info. As part of his residency, Călin Dan will lead a focused six-day workshop that examines the city (Adelaide) via tagging practices and cultures through video, still image, and audio explorations. Thematics include ephemeral architecture, sub-cultures, and zones of urban conflict. Artists who have experience with video, sound and photography, and who have their own equipment, are invited to apply to participate.
The workshop is free. Assistance for travel and accommodation is not provided. Places are strictly limited.
How to apply...
In 500 words tell us how your participation in the workshop will be beneficial to your practice. Outline your interest and experience in/with the workshop thematics.
Attach a 1 page cv. Support material should be minimal and limited to documentation of 1 or 2 projects. Attach images as jpgs (72 dpi screen resolution); attach mov or mp3 files for video and sound. If you are unsure about file sizes and types contact Teri at info @ eaf.asn.au.
