"Ellen Jantzen: Essay and Work Featured in Latest Issue"
2007-09-20 until 2007-09-20
International Digital Media and Arts Association
Muncie, IN, USA United States of America

Ellen Jantzen has her work featured in the most recent issue of The Journal of the International Digital Media and Arts Association. Included are images from her series, LANDeSCAPES and her essay "Space/Time/History as Subject for Artists".Ellen Jantzen has been a Premiere Portfolio Artist at absolutearts.com since 2003. The International Digital Media & Arts Association (iDMAa) is all about the convergence of people, ideas, disciplines, technologies and progress. iDMAa is a forum for professionals working across the wide range of disciplines and initiatives that are clustered around the emerging field of Digital Media and Arts. Traditional disciplines including the Arts, Computer Science, Engineering, Journalism and Communications, Media Studies, Film and Television, and many others are embroiled in sweeping changes wrought by new technologies, new applications, and new challenges.

Colleges and universities are attempting to incorporate these new technologies and practices into their curricula, with varying results. Industry practitioners are also affected by the rapid proliferation ofnew media, but traditional trade associations do not offer sufficient interdisciplinary depth for creative individuals whose work cuts across boundaries.

iDMAa is a forum where progressive thinkers and creators can come together as a community — both online and in person — to share insights, concerns and experiences related to their common interests.

"The iDMAa Journal is a response to the need of an emerging field involving multiple disciplines and new and emerging areas of study. The Journal provides an outlet for scholars to share their ideas and reasearch in the digital media and art arena in either the refereed or invited sections. We welcome your comments, ideas and participation. Peer reviewers are sought, as are contributors. Subscriptions are available and all iDMAa members receive the Journal as part of their membership benefits."
- Michael Niederman, Executive Editor
