Colleges and universities are attempting to incorporate these new technologies and practices into their curricula, with varying results. Industry practitioners are also affected by the rapid proliferation ofnew media, but traditional trade associations do not offer sufficient interdisciplinary depth for creative individuals whose work cuts across boundaries.
iDMAa is a forum where progressive thinkers and creators can come together as a community — both online and in person — to share insights, concerns and experiences related to their common interests.
"The iDMAa Journal is a response to the need of an emerging field involving multiple disciplines and new and emerging areas of study. The Journal provides an outlet for scholars to share their ideas and reasearch in the digital media and art arena in either the refereed or invited sections. We welcome your comments, ideas and participation. Peer reviewers are sought, as are contributors. Subscriptions are available and all iDMAa members receive the Journal as part of their membership benefits."
