Indepth Arts News: "Open House at Harvestworks, New York" 2007-10-05 until 2007-10-05 Transart Institute, O.K. Center for Contemporary Art Linz, , AT Austria
Transart Institute and Harvestworks are pleased to announce their collaboration in media art education and training. Please join us for an open house on October 5th, 5-7 pm to learn more about these two institutions and the opportunities created by their cooperation. Location: Harvestworks, 596 Broadway #602, New York, NY 10012. Transart Institute offers an international Master of Fine Arts Program in New Media with residencies in Europe and in New York: http://www.transartinstitute.org, Harvestworks provides accessible and coordinated digital media production, education, information and content distribution services to a diverse creative community from its central SoHo location: http://www.harvestworks.org
At open house, Transart Institute will be offering portfolio reviews for those who RSVP in advance. Faculty and students will present the MFA program and answer questions. Members of Harvestworks innovative staff including electronic music composers, interactive media designers, film and video makers, digital tool developers and computer programmers will be available to answer questions about media training possibilities.
Under the collaboration, Harvestworks Certificate students in Digital Media, Digital Audio, Digital Video, Max/MSP, Jitter and Sensorbuilding who meet the Transart Institute's entrance requirements are eligible for one semester of advanced standing in the four semester MFA program.
