Passages features over thirty abstract paintings by Lewis Zammit. The
exhibition will be open for the public between January 11 and February 18,
2008. It will occupy the ground floor main hall at St James Cavalier,
Valletta, Malta. The exhibition will feature paintings produced over a
period of eight years. The main medium used is oil paint on board of
various sizes and formats. The artist proposes a visual experience revealing his ongoing
preoccupation concerning the synthesis of form, space and time. It also
proposes an invitation to a visual experience that gives one a sense of
spiritual freedom. Lewis Zammit has had a Portfolio with absolutearts.com since 2001.
Each painting endeavours to open a window on the
infinite and the boundless, where space and form co-exist anomalously in a
way which is intangible but which will lead you to venture within.
