Indepth Arts News: "Exhibition to Feature Works by Edward Longo" 2008-03-28 until 2008-04-25 Leonardo Da Vinci Restaurant New York, NY, USA United States of America
Longo states, Much to my surprise, the owner of the Leonardo Da Vinci Restaurant, located in New York City, approved of having an exhibition after being provided with information regarding my upcoming gallery opening in Chelsea New York. To my good fortune, I was granted permission to exhibit over a dozen paintings, decorating the walls of his entire restaurant. Serving as the chef, as well as the owner, Gabriel Bagni gave me the surprise of my life when he informed me that he was from the same town as Leonardo Da Vinci. Then he showed me a rare, original drawing sketched by the famous artist - a prized possession that he owned outright. Adding to my amazement, I became speechless when he told me that, in his opinion, I was a remarkably talented artist.
But dont take the chef’s word for it – go and see for yourself, and leave your
comments as to whether you agree, or disagree with him. In addition to enjoying the exhibit, you are invited to receive a 20% discount off your first glass of wine. Scheduled for a special exhibition at Leonardo Da Vinci Restaurant, this pencil and ink drawing, along with a dozen other paintings by New York artist Edward Longo, will commence March 28 and run through April 25, 2008. Coincidentally, Edward Longo sketched this drawing of Leonardo Da Vinci
during March 1990: exactly eighteen years from whence it was signed. Although the drawing was sketched onto a paper napkin in pencil and red ink it remains
intact and as vividly clear as the day it was created. Edward Longo has been a Premiere Portfolio Artist at absolutearts.com since February 2007.
