in - attic : Stephanie Sin and Damon Tong
Sin Sin Fine Art, Annex - Hong Kong, HK Hong Kong

Sin Sin Fine Art, Annex in Hong Kong will show Stephanie Sin and Damon Tong - in - attic from January 8 through February 21, 2009. "In recent years art creation with social issues coupled with government's expectations on creative industry and West Kowloon have again attracted the attention of the media. However, "Installation Art" in the mid 90s and the trend of "Art Space" that followed reflect that the artistic trend has turned from pure aesthetics to humanist concerns about the society. Thus recent local development and changes in painting could only be reflected in the art gallery exhibitions rendering the art galleries a new space for the release of paintings apart from the "Art Space". - Jeff Leung Read Indepth Article

Ellen Fisch's Architectural Vision
Michael Corbin

Ellen Fisch is a fantastic photographer who lives on Long Island, New York. She wrote me a very nice email about my first book, "Art In King Size Beds: A Collector's Journal." Since then, we've become friends and she is one of the best storytellers I've ever met. That's because she has lived a rich life. As of this writing, she's opening a new exhibition called, "Architectural Visions" on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at the Jadite Galleries in New York City. She told me that her show, which celebrates photography, architecture, the work of artisans and her own architectural vision, brings her full circle. Check out her website at www.ellenfisch.com and then read our conversation and find out why...

C. A. Hoffman:
"Lightcapades"

I love light and the wonderful way it can play with it's effect on objects. It can illuminate an object or simply transform it till it achieves a totally new outlook. An artist can manipulate this wonderful element and create something beautiful and completely different than its original form. Or we can simply observe light and wonder at its marvelous existence....
