From April 10 through May 1, 2008 Alexis International in Christchurch, New Zealand presents "Italia by Morant". This exhibition will showcase works that Keith Morant created after traveling Italy as well as inspired by thoughts of Italian history and the Renaissance. Keith Morant has been a Premiere Portfolio Member at absolutearts.com since 2006. Not only was Keith Morant invited to join over 840 artists from 76 countries at the internationally prestigious 2007 Biennale dell'ARTE Contemporanea in Florence, but now joins an elite group of international artists to have been awarded the Career Award for 'Life Time Achievement in Art'.
Former recipients are renowned artists such as Christo & Jean Claude, David Hockney, Mario Luzi and Ferruccio Soleri, to name a few. The international jury has for many years played an important role in the life of the Biennale - selecting participants from all over the globe and bestowing recognition such as the international award for art and culture - the 'Lorenzo il Magnifico'.
Morant's 'ARS LONGA' was displayed with over 2500 other works of art at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence. Simultaneously, Morant exhibited at the Contemporary Istanbul Art Fair alongside Jeff Koons and Yoko Ono. And just days before, Morant exhibited in Ferrara, Italy at the Estense Castle with 54 artists from around the world. He was presented with 'The Manifestation of the Spirit Through Art' award.
