"Geoff Todd's New Collection: Wet"
2008-04-29 until 2008-05-13
Karin Weber Gallery
SoHo, , HK Hong Kong

Karin Weber Gallery has the pleasure to introduce Geoff Todd‚s new collection "Wet". An Australian who loves his homeland and has worked to represent its aboriginal people for years, Todd has recently experienced a great sense of loss with the droughts that hit Australia in 2007. " 'Wet' is a series of paintings exhibiting the joy and luxury of having water" says Todd. This enjoyment can be for the simple convenience of washing or for the sensual pleasure of submerging oneself into its cool mass and enjoying the weightlessness.

Without denying the paint‚s own existence on the canvas, Todd‚s seemingly random choice of medium may seem experimental. The end result however is bold, carefree, alluring and eternally true to the artist‚s unique style.

A professional artist since 1969, Geoff Todd‚s career has encompassed an extensive exhibiting history throughout Australia, SE Asia, Europe and the UK. His work is held by public and private collectors worldwide.

Karin Weber Gallery is dedicated to showing fine international contemporary art by both emerging and established artists. Exhibitions throughout the year introduce works by new artists with regular representation from Burma.
