"Dusty Boynton: Recent Work"
2008-10-09 until 2008-11-01
Denise Bibro Fine Art
New York, NY, USA United States of America

Denise Bibro Fine Art is pleased to present our third solo exhibition of work by Dusty Boynton on view October 9 through November 1, 2008. These energetic canvases acquaint us with a motley cast of characters-- human, animal and in between-- painted with confident, gestural strokes in radiant color. The work encompasses the intensity of Abstract Expressionism with a joyous sense of child-like exuberance. Boynton's ability to construct emotionally and psychologically charged imagery is reminiscent of De Kooning's Women series, as well as the mysterious yet playful works of Paul Klee. Her works have the ability to incite uncanny humor, without losing their poignant intellectual sensibility. Boynton stealthily communicates equal parts poetry, irreverence, elation, fear, and gentle empathy.

Boynton has shown at Littlejohn Contemporary, New York, NY; Gallery Jupiter, Little Silver, NJ; and Steffany Martz Gallery, New York, NY. She has been included in dozens of group exhibitions, such as In the Garden at Barbara Krakow in Boston, MA; Book, Box, Word, Volume II at the University of Florida and the North Miami Contemporary Art Center; and New Prints, 2002 at the International Print Center, New York, NY. Her work has been covered in Art in America, Arts Magazine, New Art Examiner, The New York Times, and ArtNews. Denise Bibro Fine Art will feature Boynton's work at the Red Dot Art Fair in London October 16-19, 2008.
