Indepth Arts News: "Call for Artists: Visual Artists, Art Craftsmen, Musicians, Dancers, Actors, Cultural Workers Invited to Participate" 2009-02-23 until 2009-07-25 International Art and Culture Festival 2009 Rodby, , DK Denmark
International Art & Culture Festival 2009 is to be held from August 1 - 7, 2009 in Rodby, Denmark. Following the success of last year's festival they are organizing a new one for 2009. Whether you are an amateur or professional artist, International Art & Culture Festival 2009 will be another unmissable event. Artists in all media and categories, visual artists, art craftsmen, musicians, dancers, actors and all other cultural workers are welcome to participate. The Festival was founded by Bo Sigvardson who has been a Portfolio Artist at absolutearts.com since 2000.
The Festival will be a meeting place where artists can meet and work together out in the open air on the streets and the squares across disciplines and national boundaries. The Festivals goal is to gather artists, cultural workers and culture organisations together to establish and maintain contacts, sharing experiences and views. The cultural co-operation is important to make culture awareness easily available all over the world and in the right places, developing the cultural life and awareness. The intention is to create an international meeting place and platform where artists, cultural workers and organisations from all over the world can get together.
The rules and procedures are the same as last year, that is to say the participation is for free, but we have an application fee of 50 Euros this year to make the festival even better.
Participants must pay themselves for travel, food and accommodation costs during the stay.
It is up to each participant to arrange their own accommodation. You find a list of accomodations near the festival area on the website.

Please note that many nationals must have a Schengen Visa to enter Denmark. In some nations it can take a while to handle the visa applications, so contact the Danish Embassy in your country for information about visa.
Also this year it will be possible for artists to exhibit one artwork at Gallery Sigvardson.
If you can not come personally, you are welcome to send one artwork for the exhibition which will last for the festival week.
