Don't miss the art exhibit "Rituales" where artist Laila Espinoza showcases her new mixed media paintings. Also on exhibit are selected pieces of fine folk art from Casa Oaxaca, Mexican Arts and Crafts. An opening reception was held Sat. March 14, 2009, and the exhibit continues through April 14. This event is free and open to the entire community. Laila Espinoza is a new Free Portfolio Member at absolutearts.com and has taken part in several exhibitions in the San Francisco area.
For the artist, the process of creating a work of art, is a ritual. Each piece has a story to tell, an experience, a reflection. Also on display, will be art from Southern Mexico, such as masks used for ritual with descriptions of their origin and purpose. IMAGE
