"Camaver Kunsthaus International opens at the Monastery of San Francesco"
2009-06-12 until 2009-07-04
Camaver Kunsthaus
Acquasparta, , IT Italy

The Revolution of the ideas - Along the recent history among the most important personages who have been living in Acquasparta, there was Galileo Galilei; a man who became important around the world. In 1609, four hundred years ago, the Italian scientist made his first observation of the universe using the telescope which helped him to make revolutionary discoveries. Those scientific discoveries, very important also nowadays, unfortunately caused many troubles to Galileo, as history reports. In Acquasparta the Lincei Academy warmly welcomed him and he was highly appreciated. Only there, his theories created a solid base where to be developed and to grow. His scientific instruments as well as the telescope and the microscope have been widely used by "Lincei" scientists. Revolutionary ideas have been those ones about the revolution of the Earth and observations inherent other solar planets. From these concepts the exhibition takes now inspiration. this is the sixth time Camaver Kunsthaus International is organizing the important art exhibition with the high patronage of the Municipal Authorities of Acquasparta. Mary Mansey and Luise Andersen, both Premiere Portfolio Artists at absolutearts.com, will take part in the exhibition.

The next sixth edition is introducing something new in the exhibition program: starting from the exhibition space which will not be at Cesi Palace as in the past but a brand new multi functional space coming out from the fully renovated Monastery of San Francesco church, located in the upper side of the city just in front of the ancient town walls.

Artists are often considered as revolutionary personalities by the people common sense because they are able to propose a different vision of the reality, conditioning free and without community impositions.

Like scientists, the artist examine the reality and their instruments are not microscopes or telescopes but their own senses amplified by their artistic sensibility. They are able to bring out hidden aspect of our reality or more easily to provide new and unusual points of view in order to make us reflect about the world around and enabling us to discover new prospectives by ourselves.

Revolution as movement, like a creative wind that will twist the consciences and the sensibilities of the people like an invisible energy which can move everything following new and unpredictable route with an unforeseeable force.

In this exhibition we want to let circulate culture and art in the air. We want that art enter the people everyday life, so that they can get an interior growth and an intellectual stimulus. The term revolution has always been associated to the culture and to the ideologies, it is an evocative word of strong feelings, sometimes violent , a drastic change. Ideas are the weapons used in a such revolution, ideas sometimes will scare as for innovations or unexplored lands.

This concept of revolution and the personage of Galileo Galilei will be the inspiration elements of the art show. Artists are coming from all over the world to freely express themselves showing their personal languages. Through an attentive choice of the artworks of the artists coming from each part of the world, we are going to will set up an "artistic journey", an emotional experience. Through assonance and contrasts we will give to the onlookers the unique opportunity to enter in a fascinating world where they will be able to open their mind.

We would like to accomplish a unique and special revolution of the artistic ideas and concepts; out aim is to lightening the intimate feelings of Galileo Galileo when he had to face his tough time; we would like living his experience again through the creative pathos of the artists and to look at the effects of that on us.
