Complesso Monumentale Belvedere di San Leucio
Caserta, , IT Italy

"Human Rights" is an international art event taking place in September in Caserta where works by 103 artists from 27 countries worldwide will be displayed. The artists talk about human rights, and they do so with their language both personal and universal, as only that of art can be. In "Human Rights" topics are touched - uncomfortable, complex and complaints, which go to prod the conscience of all of those who, fully enjoying their rights, do not think of all people who see them trampled on every day. absoltuearts.com Premiere Portfolio artist Selin Melek Aktan is included in this exhibition.

The logic of "Human Rights" is founded on the basic concept of art as a form of expression, universal, understandable to everyone regardless of language and culture of origin, irrespective of gender, the subject treated and the language used.

Selin Melek Aktan addresses the human rights of child in her work. "I think children are gifts to this earth, it doesn't matter which country they are coming from or ethnicity. They have pure energy and are looking with such innocent eyes at the world. We shouldn't destroy their world with torture, wars, guns or sex abuse. And unfortunately some kids are dying because they are starving for food. They are our future. We don't have all these machines, technologies and education to kill our children. We have all these to keep and protect them as a precious gift. I have dedicated my works about human rights to our children who don't have enough food, medication, health care, opportunities to go to school, NOT to suffer from war and violence. They are our babies and our future."
