" Mark Gleason : Explorations of Persona"
2009-10-17 until 2009-11-14
Cella Gallery
North Hollywood, CA, USA United States of America

Cella Gallery is pleased to present a new collection by Mark Gleason that depicts the explorations of Persona. Exhibition dates are October 17 to November 14, 2009. Through costume or communion with animals, each painting’s subject is projecting a facet of self. Shown in moments of preparation and conflict, the meticulously crafted roles that each assumes or displays in public society crack, and a form of the inner self is revealed. Perhaps through this collection, the true Persona of Gleason is made known?

Mark Gleason grew up in Connecticut. He received a BFA in Studio Arts from Syracuse University in 1984 and earned a Masters Degree in Art Education in 1989. His art has been shown in galleries throughout the United States. He currently lives in San Francisco, where he has been teaching art in the public schools for twenty years.
