The complex shapes and patterns he uses present the impression of movement: his paintings are filled with a dancing rhythm that bounds out of the canvas giving a sense of joy and vitality to the onlooker. The bold outlines, shapes and colours this Romanian artist uses, have a tribal flavour to them whilst also reminding the viewer of naive or folk painting; however his paintings are deeply complex in narrative and meaning.
