NoshNights are a partnership between UICA, AIGA, Design West Michigan, AIA, IDSA, Rapid Growth Media, and the Community Media Center. The inaugural NoshNight: Slide Wars featured 20 artists presenting their work with a series of still images, which rotated on a projector screen in 20-second intervals. Artists were challenged to describe each image in 20 seconds, before the next slide appeared. The event was a success, with over 400 people in attendance. The second installment NoshNight: Recycled Runway presented the innovative designs of 15 artists who created wearable art made from recycled and repurposed materials. The event was even more popular than the first, with an attendance of more than 700 people. The success of these two events demonstrates that there was a need for an event that crossed the boundaries of every creative field.
